Lisa Bartlett Receives Endorsements From Majority of Laguna Hills City Council

Laguna Hills Councilwoman Barbara Kogerman Joins Councilmembers Randal Bressette and Melody Carruth Endorsing Bartlett for Supervisor

DANA POINT, CA-Today, Mayor Lisa Bartlett, candidate for Orange County Supervisor 5th District, announced the endorsements from a majority of the City of Laguna Hills City Council including Councilmembers Randal Bressette, Melody Carruth and Barbara Kogerman.

“South Orange County has major projects and challenges of regional impact that lie ahead. Whether it’s addressing traffic congestion on the I-5 Freeway, completing the Tesoro Extension on the 241 Toll Road, or properly financing the Dana Point Harbor Revitalization, we need a county supervisor who can continue the progress that has been made by our region’s elected officials and who has the discipline needed to effectively move these projects forward for our communities,” said Councilmember Barbara Kogerman.

“Lisa Bartlett can be trusted to effectively serve as a strong, educated voice for our region and its priorities.  She has been serving the 5th District for years in a variety of important leadership roles.  We could use her leadership and vision on the Board of Supervisors,” said Councilmember Randal Bressette.

“Lisa Bartlett’s professional background coupled with her deep understanding of local policy issues, community by community, make her the only viable candidate to represent the 5th District on the Orange County Board of Supervisors,” said Councilmember Melody Carruth.

“Receiving the support of these three highly respected Councilmembers from the City of Laguna Hills is truly an honor. They have joined a long list of local supporters and elected officials who know I am the only candidate who will represent the 5th District effectively in the coming decade,” responded Mayor Lisa Bartlett.

Dana Point Mayor Lisa Bartlett, a two-term City Councilwoman, successfully advanced to the November Run Off Election receiving over 28% of the vote in the June Primary Election for Orange County Supervisor of the 5th District currently held by termed-out Supervisor Patricia Bates. Mayor Bartlett was born and raised in Southern California and has been a resident of Dana Point for over 20 years. She has been an active voice and participant in the city’s evolution into one of the most internationally desirable destination resort communities along California’s coast. Her policy initiatives have led to job creation and economic growth in the South Orange County region.

The Fifth District encompasses the South County Cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, the community of Shady Canyon in the City of Irvine, as well as the unincorporated communities of Coto de Caza, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, and Wagon Wheel.
