Majority of the Aliso Viejo City Council Shows Strong Support for Lisa Bartlett for Orange County Supervisor

Mayor Phillip Tsunoda Joins Councilmembers Carmen Cave and Ross Chun on Team Bartlett

 

DANA POINT, CA-Today, Mayor Lisa Bartlett, candidate for Orange County Supervisor 5th District, proudly announced the support from the majority of the Aliso Viejo City Council including Mayor Phillip Tsunoda, Councilmember Carmen Cave, and Councilmember Ross Chun, adding them to the growing list of local elected officials supporting Bartlett in her candidacy.

“Lisa Bartlett has proven through her local and regional leadership successes that she will pay close attention to the needs and priorities of each local community throughout the 5th District –she’ll represent us,” said Mayor Phillip Tsunoda.

“Lisa Bartlett has led reforms and effective strategic moves for one of the most important projects in our region working toward proper completion of the Foothill Eastern 241 toll road extensions – she’ll keep moving our transportation improvement projects forward while protecting our quality of life,” said Councilmember Carmen Cave.

“I believe Lisa Bartlett has the experience needed to effectively serve our region on the Board of Supervisors,” said Councilmember Ross Chun. “I have worked with Lisa in many situations on the Transportation Corridor Agencies Board, and have seen her demonstrate a keen interest in policy issues, working to develop solutions that deliver results.”

“I am pleased that Mayor Phil Tsunoda has joined our Aliso Viejo leadership team along with Councilmember, and former Mayor Carmen Cave, and Councilmember Ross Chun.  Our list of majorities of city councils continues to grow since our strong finish in the primary because they know I will represent them most effectively,” replied Mayor Lisa Bartlett.

Dana Point Mayor Lisa Bartlett, a two-term City Councilwoman, successfully advanced to the November Run Off Election receiving over 28% of the vote in the June Primary Election for Orange County Supervisor of the 5th District currently held by termed-out Supervisor Patricia Bates. Mayor Bartlett was born and raised in Southern California and has been a resident of Dana Point for over 20 years. She has been an active voice and participant in the city’s evolution into one of the most internationally desirable destination resort communities along California’s coast. Her policy initiatives have led to job creation and economic growth in the South Orange County region. The Fifth District encompasses the South County Cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, the community of Shady Canyon in the City of Irvine, as well as the unincorporated communities of Coto de Caza, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, and Wagon Wheel.
